This website has changed my life for the better !

....and how building one yourself could change your life too.

This page follows on from my About me page. I never knew how much building this site would change my life. Like many people I have had many jobs (most I hated) just to pay the bills. This is not the case with my present job working with window treatments. I really enjoy what I do..... well most days :-)

But...(there's always a "but" isn't there) you get to thinking about where your life's going and what the future holds. I started thinking about how I could earn a living doing something, anything that did not involve me climbing up and down ladders every day hanging curtains.

Well that's not entirely true. As much as I have worked very hard all my life. I have this little devil sat on my shoulder telling me to quit working full stop. If I could get away with it I would, but reality bites (and it's a very large nasty dog with big teeth). We all have bills to pay rent or mortgage to meet every month. the gas and electric, groceries, taxes. Let's not even talk about the cost of running a car these days (it's not pretty seeing a grown man cry).

So what happened to me ?

The second way is from a few businesses that have adverts placed directly on my site. Other businesses will approach you after you build your site. They will pay you for placing their ads on your site (another great passive income. The kind that little devil in me likes the best).
Then there are some links to merchant sites that sell goods related to my website theme. I make a small commission when someone makes a purchase.

In the near future

I will be putting short videos on my site in the coming months. These will show how I go fitting different kinds of window treatments. These will only run for about 2 to 3 minutes (don't want to frighten anyone with my mug for to long). Then I will produce longer more detailed videos with an ebook to accompany it. This will be for people who want to get involved with some of my more complicated creations. These I will make a small charge for. I bet your thinking this sounds really complicated. How do people find your website ?

Today my website has over 40,000 visitors a month and it is growing every month. I don't pay for my traffic it all comes from the search engines and other websites that link to my site. Oh and of course returning visitors.
