Bay Window Ceiling
Hello There
Is is possible to fit any other curtain pole to the ceiling of the bay window other than the white rod style? We would prefer to attach it to the ceiling instead of the wall because of the gap you have to leave between the ceiling and where you attack the brackets to the wall. Can you advise me what you think?
Thanks a million
Hi There yourself
You can ceiling fix most tracks and rods. For a bay window you are a little bit more limited.
If you plan on using a pair of curtains in your bay. Then you will need to use a track. You can get them in other colors than white these days. Gold and silver to name a couple.
You can buy metal tracks that can be bent by hand to fit bays and these can look stylish and modern.
The only other alternative is to fit a curtain rod/pole. If you are willing to treat each side of your bay as a seperate window you can just have 3 rods butted up to each other in the corners. Then hang a pair of curtains on the front of the bay and one curtain to each side of the bay window.
You have probably have seen the bay rod kits on sale with what are called passing brackets. Unfortunately these are no good when ceiling fixing.
