Having a trauma finding a bay window curtain to fit your window ?
Ready made curtains too long or too short ? Always a problem. Ready made curtains not wide enough ?....... Need 2 pairs to cover your window ? Ready made curtains......why not ? The truth is ready made curtains just are not made to fit bay windows. Even if your very lucky and the lengths right. The width will almost certainly to narrow. So how wide should my bay curtain be ? If your bay is approx 4 meters across then each curtain needs to be this wide. This is to allow for pulling up the cords on the pencil pleat header tape. This gives your curtain its gather. Once gathered up each curtain should be half the width of your window, so when hung they meet in the middle. Well every problem has an answer ! Well I have several solutions to your problem. The easy way.....? Get someone else to make them for you. There are many curtain makers on the web that can do this for you. Just give them your sizes, Choose the fabric and lining. Then a few weeks later they arrive ready for you to hang. Great solution if time is your problem. Make your own if you have the inclination !
