Ceiling fix track in a bay

by Magie

I have a L-shaped bay window. The window is fitted right up to the ceiling.how do i fit curtains so that the header tape does not scrape along the ceiling? thanks.

Hi Magie

Curtains hang differently on different tracks so it takes a little experimentation.

Pick a track to suit a bay window. If your curtains have pencil pleat header. The kind where you pull up the cords to gather the curtain. Then you will have 3 pockets on the curtain tape to put your hooks into.

Then I would start with the curtain hooks in the middle pocket of the tape. Spaced every 4th pocket. This will probably be right for most tracks. If not move the hooks up or down.

You may have to accept that the track may show a little over the top of your closed curtains.

To get some info on bay tracks take a look at

You could always hang your curtains under the track and cover it up with a pelmet/cornice. For more info take a look at
