Curtain track problem in bay
my bay window has vetical blinds and i need a curtain track with brackets/fittings longer than normal to allow the blinds to function. any tips?
Hi
What I do in this situation is to fit a top board over the top of the window. See the photo below to see what I mean.

I then fit the curtain track upwards underneath this pelmet board. I fic the curtain track around 3 inches from the front edge. You obviously will need to check how wide the board needs to be.
Hope I have explained it clearly enough if not just ask again. I know it's not a quick fix, but is the best way I have found in many years of working on bay windows in this situation.
This brings the curtain track out further from your window than any brackets would. It is also far more stable. The only draw back is it not very attractive. So I either A make a fabric covered pelmet to cover it or fit a curtain valance on the leading edge.
You can staple this up between the pleats then redress the pleats. This will hide the staples.
