Don't have enough room to fit a door curtain ? Grommet curtains could be the answer
Grommet curtains can solve your door curtain problem
Mark I want to put a curtain over my front door but don't have very much room at the side of the door. What if anything can I do ? Hi Mark I think the solution is a grommet curtain also known as eyelet curtains 2 names same thing. Made to just 1.5 X the door width. Don't use a thick fabric this will allow this kind of curtain to stack back into a very small space. Fix a rod/pole wall to wall using recess brackets fitted on the ends. If in a narrow hallway. This will allow you to pull the curtain all the way across the door. Without the usual wall brackets getting in the way. The other option if you have room on one side of the door and not the other is to fix one end of rod to the wall with a recess bracket and fix the other end with a standard wall fix bracket. Another hanging option is a Swing arm curtain rod this takes you to a page on swing arms for dormer windows, but they work for doors . Just get the bigger more robust version. I hope this gives you a couple of ideas to checkout. Happy hunting. P.S. A cheap way to get the right kind of rod is to go to your local DIY store. Buy a chrome or brass effect wardrobe rail and end brackets. This works out half the price of the proper kit and looks just as good. Want to know what a Eyelet curtain looks like then click here.
