Help! Pricing

Hi.
Your site is very clear and informative, thank you. After making my own curtains and blinds for years, my neighbour wants me to make hers.

It's the pricing, She wants me to charge her the 'going rate' but I am all at sea with how to do it. I do make them up to a professional level, with huge amount of hand sewing, but because she is the first to pay me properly, and a good friend, I don't want to be silly or greedy.

I realise people are charged per width for the curtains (also with varying price structure for lengths) Have you got any suggestions of a pay scale I can use? Also For Roman blinds?
I would be hugely grateful.

Hi Catherine

It would be a very long reply if I gave you all the pricing details for every conceivable product.

So what I can do is give you the cost for exactly what you are planning on making for your friend. So make a list of just what you need and post it in a comment at the end of this page.

You will need to give me the width of the windows to be covered. What style of curtain/s you are making. Also whether they are lined or interlined.

Same for the romans lined/unlined, interlined Etc.

Nearly forgot make sure you let me know the header style as this will make a difference to the price and the amount of fabric you need.
