Hidden buckram at top of lined eyelet curtains

Hello. I'm making eyelet curtains for the first time although I have made pencil pleat ones many times.
I am trying to work out a way of putting the buckram between the lining and the fabric at the top of the curtain and stitching it so that it doesn't show on the fabric side (so that it looks lovely from both fabric and lining side). I have thought that I could sew the lining and fabric together at the top of the curtain, then sew the buckram onto the lining plus fabric seam allowance. That way there would be no stitching on the fabric itself. But then I can't work out how I will sew the rest of the curtain/lining to finish (ie the sides).
Can you help me with a little step-by-step guide to solving this problem?
Hi Kate
I do plan on doing a new page or two on maaking eyelet curtains soon. For the time being I will try and give you a very quick overview. Hopefully you follow me as you have made pencil pleat curtains before so you are not completely green.
You start by hemming your face fabric and your lining fabric.
Then sew your lining fabric side seams into your face fabric as you would for pencil pleat curtains. (i.e. inside out then turn out the right way).
Should have said earlier you need to add enough fabric to create your hems PLUS another 12 inches if using 6 inch wide buckram.
Now lay out your part finished curtain lining side up. Even up the side seams on both sides. Then take your buckram and place along the top edge of your unfinished curtain and fold over. Then use an iron to press down. Then fold over once again and press down again. Then finally pin down the fold over to stop it moving while you put your eyelets in the header.
Once you have put in your eyelets you can remove the holding pins. The eyelets will now hold the top of your curtain together. All you need to do is hand sew the outside edges where the buckram ends.
I hope until I do a with pictures page that this will get you started.
