How do i hang curtain rods

The window is 37-1/8inch outside trim. how wide do
I hang the rods?

Even with the trim or past? if past how far?

Hi Keith

If your hanging a pair of curtains Then I would make the curtain rod around 47 inches wide. This will let the rod go past each side about 5 inches.

You will be able to then open your curtains so they hang off the window. This will give you more light into the room and they will just look right.
