How do I make shades for sunroom roof?

(Tennessee)

Hi, How do I make Roman Shades for a slanted sunroom roof? (There are side-slider slits for traverse hangers).

How do I fit the pull cords?Thank You for Your time. I have been wrestling with this for a while. Sincerely,

Jo (in The Tennessee Smoky Mts)

Hi Jo

I will try and give you a very quick overview of what to do.

You will need roman shades with pockets on the back to hold rods. The pockets are where the shades pleat. The rods need to be long enough to stick out of the pockets on both sides then fit into the slits on both sides of your windows. They also need to be slim enough to slide as the shade moves up and down.

The next thing you need is 2 cords to pull up each shade. One fixed to either side of the top of your shades. These cords will run through eyelets at the top and fall down to where you can reach to pull them. You will probably then want to run both cords through a third eyelet so the cords can fall where you can reach them to operate the shade.

I'm going to assume gravity will pull them down.

That is the simplest way to do this. I know it's a very simplistic explanation. Really it probably needs a complete manual to give you every detail.

I hope this at least gets you on your way.

Best regards

Lee
