How many cm's between curtain hooks?

How far apart on gathered header should i place the curtain hooks for my bay window curtains.

I usually put a hook in the first pocket. Then every 4th pocket. Finally one hook in the last pocket. You sometimes end up with one pocket more or less, don't worry about it.
