how to wrap material on pole

I have a large piece of material that i want to wrap round my curtain pole but don't know how to do it, Do you have some advice for me please

I know it does not help right now but I am doing some short video tutorials in the new year. This is a subject that can't be shown properly in writing or even photos. you simply have to watch someone just do it to get an idea of how to approach it yourself. How to make and dress a scarf swag

This gives you the basic start point for all scarf swags. If you are going to wrap your fabric around the pole a few times. Then the start is exactly the same. It just takes a bit more patience and perseverance to dress it just right.

If you are hanging over a wooden curtain pole then you can use drawing pins or staples to hold the fabric in place once you have it dressed just right.
