I am sooo lost...

Hi Lee,

I am in the middle of renovating my up stairs,which is my dining room/kitchen. I have everything under control except the window coverings.The window is aprox 8ft in length. I was kind of thinking something decorative at each side but I am sooo lost on what to do for the middle section....

Help me please

You mean that's not how your house looks normally :-)

Well to your window the worlds your oyster. It mostly depends on the style of your room. Is it modern or is more traditional.

Also do you need privacy on this window or simply to dress it up.

If you really are not sure then my advice is to keep it as simple as possible. How about a chunky decorative wooden curtain rod. In a similar color to the floor. Then hang some floor length curtains. then scoop them up into tassel tie backs.

I have put a couple of photos below of some I have fitted recently. Both of these drape onto the floor. You don't have to go that long if you don't like that sort of thing.

these 2 are on wide windows just like yours. You could fit a double rod and hang a sheer curtain as well if you need daytime privacy.
