Ideas on dressing a bedroom window

by Debbie
(Pittsburgh)

I have a slider window in a small bedroom. The window is 71" wide by 35" tall. Any suggestions on how to decorate it?

Hi Debbie

Your window is quite wide but not very deep. So I would be tempted to fit long floor length curtains. They would frame the window better and also the illusion of height.

Why not fit a double rod and hang floor length sheers on the back rod and keep them closed mostly (unless you have a great view). Then hang your main curtains on the front rod.

The sheers will give you privacy and during the day filter the light giving a nice glow. also those sliding window are not the most attractive feature so covering it up will give you room a pleasant feel.

I could show you endless pictures of windows but my taste may not be yours.

Best Regards

Lee
