My roller blinds are too narrow in the width.

by M Gray

I sent my husband shopping for roller blinds. he put them up and I looked. There is a 20cm gap in width. I cant afford to go buy more blinds but i have material that would go with them. any ideas on covering the gaps its 10cm on both side of window.

Hi

This is not good news unfortunately you can't add it on to the roller fabric. It would not then wind onto the roller, it would be wider than the brackets.

I would try and return them for the right width blinds. If you put them back in the same packaging and still have the receipt. The retailer should swap them for you.

You could put a wood strip covered in your surplus fabric down each side to the width you need. This would then block the gaps. The only problem is it will narrow your window opening and in my opinion look odd.

You could just try it if you like and see what you think before you fix them in place.

Best regards
