putting up a bay window

by Danny Contreras

I need to know how big of supports I need under the window and want to extended out at least 1 foot out further but don't know what I need in wood

Hi Danny

I have put a link below to the brackets I use when fitting boards over a window. The bracket size you will need are the ones in the link. They are 7 inch by 9 inches.

You need to fix the 7 inch part to the wall and place your timber board onto the 9 inch part to create your shelf over your window.

These will support a board up to about 12 to 14 inches wide.

Shelf brackets

Hope this helps with your project.

Regards

Lee
