Making roman window shades for your own home.Roman window shades, the simple solution I am looking to make light blocking shades/blinds for my living room windows i was looking for a pattern that allows you to tie them up when not in use.any suggestions? Hi Tammy Roman shades are a very popular at the moment and can be lined with blackout lining. They are very simple and rise and fall by pulling cords to the side. Unfortunately I have not got round to doing a page on making roman shades just yet. I will be doing one in the next few weeks.
