Thanks for the info about my voile swags. But what I was asking (sorry wasn't very clear) was hot to hang the voile on the actual rings. The picture that comes with the scarf rings look like a sort of rose when the voile is threaded through the rings. How do I achieve this look?

Hi Joanne

No problem with your request for more info on a a scarf rosette. I have done a couple of rough diagrams to illustrate what you need to do.

The illustration to the left shows the fabric on the ends of your swag folded back on its self. How much depends on how big you want your rosette to be. Also how long you want the tails of your scarf to hang down.

So just give it a couple of tries and see what you end up with. Once you have pulled through a reasonable loop of you scarf. Then fan out the loop so it gets all puffed up.

The next stage is to push the center of the puffed up ball back through the center of your scarf holder using your finger (that odd looking pink thing is meant to be my finger). Keep pushing more fabric back in through the center of the scarf holder until you end up with a rosette about the size you want.

Next step is to dress your rosette a little by teasing the fabric a little here and there. You may find using an elastic band at the back of the rosette will help hold it in place better. often depends on the kind of fabric you use.

Then repeat the whole process on the other swag holder. It will take several attempts to get it just as you want. So don't give up first time. Even after 20 years it still take me a few goes.
