two windows close together in a bedroom

I have two windows very close together on one wall of our bedroom. One window was just added to provide more ventilation in an otherwise stuffy room. I would like to use one pair of custom made drapes, draping the left panel on the left window, tied back, and the right panel on the right window tied back.

Then I have a painting to hang between the two. There is not enough room to hang two pairs of drapes. I would like to hang a valance over the single panel in order to hide the shade that must be there for privacy at night. Any hints?

The drapes are dupioni silk, ivory with a wide stripe of sage green at the bottom. I can get the same material.

Sounds like a plan, I think that arrangement would look good.

Now I think your asking me about getting some curtain fabric to make valances to co-ordinate with your existing curtains. Or maybe some ready made valance that would do the job.

The problem is knowing the exact shade of color you need. So I would start on ebay first as they have a ton of stuff that might do. I have put a couple of links below to help.
