Uneven window frame

I have a tiny bathroom with a single window. In order to make the tub fit when the house was built almost 60 years ago, the vertical wood frame piece on the right side of the window had to be trimmed by an inch. This window touches the shallow perpendicular wall jut that's between the tub enclosure and the rest of the room. The net result is that when you look at this window straight on, the left trim is 3.5" and the right is 2.5".
My question is this: when I hang a mini blind or any other treatment of that sort: 1) should I center it, pretending that both frame pieces are intact, and have more frame showing on the left--OR 2) should I do a little "tromp l'oeuil" and install the blind 1/2 inch further to the left in order to make it look like both frames are the same width?
Since this is a bathroom, I rarely raise or open the slats. I'm installing white faux wood 2" slats. Thanks!

Hi bonnie
I would fit the blind centrally ignoring the diffrence on each side. I think when the blind is down your eye won't focus on the surrounding frame.
That's how I would fit it. hope you agree :-)
