VERY WIDE, VERY SHORT WINDOW TREATMENT DILEMMA

I have two very wide but short windows in my bedroom. My bed sits under one of them, so I really don't want to go with a floor length drape. The windows are cut into 3 "panels", the two outside windows open with the crank style knobs, the middle window is stationary.

Right now I have 3 mini blinds on each window with a valance over the top. I can't seem to find curtains to fit. Ideally, I would like to get rid of the mini blinds altogether. Any suggestions?

If the problem is just getting some curtains to fit your windows well. Then there is a seller on ebay that will make them to size for you. They good feed back and the prices are very reasonable.

I have the same problem. Older house with short, wide windows in all the bedrooms. Currently no window treatments. Would like to blackout the light for sleeping but want something that looks good.

Style of drapes

It does have to do more with style than anything. For the life of me, I can not come up with a plan. Privacy is not really an issue with the windows, as they are higher on the wall. I really hate the mini blinds, but I would like to keep some light out of the room.
