What kind of window treatment would look good?

I need ideas for these two windows that are in the entryway room to my new home....my future husband has drawn out the room as I'd like it to look but I am at a loss as to what kind of window treatments would look best.....both windows have a radior under them.

I've never even lived in a house with a radior. The house was built in the early 1900's. The door also has a window on it that would need to be incorported into the design as well......any help you could give would be much appreciated.

Hi Cindy

I love the picture your future intended has a real talent, an eye for perspective.

Right to your question My first though would be to go for fabric roman shades on all windows including the door. Then top them with a fabric covered pelmet/cornice.

If done in the right fabric could look in keeping with the theme you are creating. This set up would solve the problem with the radior. As the roman shade would stop just above.

The next option would be the same as above but then to Hang curtains on the 2 windows as well. Hanging them from under the pelmets/cornice.

The curtains would be only to dress the windows and would be tie back into tassel tie backs. The curtains would then hang down to the floor either side of the radior. The reason I would not have them as working is because of the depth of the radior sticking out from under the windows.

Want to see some pelmet/cornice then take a look here.

Pelmet/cornice

Hope that gives you some help.

Best Regards
