hello, hi, i'm in a three year old home with naked windows, so I'm unable to walk around in the same..not seriously, but here's the dilemma.
A two story wall with six windows. Slight C shape. (three walls)
windows are approx 4 ft in height with a 4 and a half foot wall space between the uppers and lowers.
The lowers look out to the neighbours and street and I hate to have people look in but I love having the sunlight and viewing the little grean we have beyond our porch.
How do you dress this to still get the most sunlight from the uppers and camouflage the lowers without covering the whole window as they are quite nice to look at and seem okay 'naked.
thanks for your help! ' Hi sonya
You are going to have to cover them one way or another. So sheers on simple decorative rods would the best way to cover these.
If you choose a sheer that is not to thick you will still be able to see through it from inside the house to a certain degree. Obviously it will block you view to a certain degree.
From outside the house looking form a few yards away. You won't be able to see in very much. At night after dark with the lights on in the house you will see a lot more but still give you a certain amount of privacy.
The other option is to fit cellular shades on the lower windows. These stack up into a very small space so are very unobtrusive. The only problem is you won't be able to see through them during the day if you have them down. The benefit is they will give total privacy during the evening.
