What to do with "lifeless" curtains?

I recently moved into a new home and was excited to order 10 curtain panels for my 4 living room and 1 dining room window. Unfortunately, now that they're hung, they are "lifeless."

They are unlined and I think that it the problem. They are so boring looking and don't hang nicely! Now I can either find some advice for "jazzing them up" or take them all down, return them, and start over. What do you think?

They sound like they need to be dressed up. What I would do is to dress them into tie backs. You need to pleat your curtains back and forth with your hands. Then wrap the tie back around them.

Then tease them into a nice curve shape on the leading edges. I have put a photo of what I mean just below. You curtains as they are free hanging will never look any better. This will give them some shape and character.
