Amy hi, on our back family room wall, we have 4 windows connected together by the casings around them. the total length from one end's casing to the other is 164". i don't know if i should hang a rod the whole length and hang one curtain on each end or make a small rod over each end window and hang one curtain there. suggestions? i am against cornices (not my thing). thanks! Hi Amy I have seen this done with the short curtain rods on each side just wide enough to hang a dress curtain to each side of the wide window. Personally I like the look especially when wooden rods are used with fancy end finials. and the curtains are tied back with large rope tassel hold backs. So spend less on your curtain rod and more having 2 sets of end finials. If you need privacy from the windows. Then why not fit some simple blinds to each window in a fairly neutral color.
