Window treatments for sliding doors

Right kind of window treatments for sliding doors ?

Hope

I have a sliding glass door in the downstairs TV room, what type of window treatment options do I have? I'm more interested in curtains than blinds. Thanks!

Hi Hope

Firstly apologies for overlooking your question. Slapped wrist for me.

Well it's quite an open question it all depends on your rooms theme modern or traditional. I'll assume your sliding glass doors are set in a recess and that the curtains are to be hung outside the recess over the doors.

If your rooms is modern/contemporary then eyelet curtains or as Americans say grommet curtains on a brushed steel pole.Maybe with matching loop hold backs to hold the curtains in place when you open the door.

If your rooms is more traditional then a thick wood pole with decorative finials. This would be a feature in its self. Then if the budget allows how about pinch pleat headed curtains also known as French pleat. These again could be tied back with large tassel rope tie backs.

If your looking for a bit of inspiration then take a look at my picture gallery. Curtain ideas with pictures I have lots of photos all fitted my me.

Hope this gives you some ideas.
