I have two windows side by side, with just a little space in between about 1 1/2. Right now I have a nice curtain rod across the top and two panels on the side.

I need to add something for privacy. Not sure if I should go with putting roman shade or roller shade in each window or just one large one. I am at a loss. I have cream color curtains.
Please help!

Hi Annie

This is just a rough rule of thumb. If the total width of both windows is less than 5ft then one roller blind would be fine.

If wider I would probably go with 2 rollers side by side. It would just make them easier to use. This is especially true if you go for roman shades as they are a heavier window treatment.

Try For One Treatment If Possible

I would try to stick to 1 treatment if possible. The reason is depending on the treatment there will be a large gap between the shades. For example 2 roller shades will have a big gap which means people will be able to see in more. 2 cellular shades would be muck better because there is a minimal gap. So if you can get away with 1 treatment your have more privacy. Also if you opt for a roller shade, look for one that has a continuous looped cord. Much easier to roll up and down.

Your right about the gap with rollers. So if the window frame has a 2 to 3 inch center vertical bar. Then you should be fine. If not then Bob's suggestion of cellular shades would be good alternative.
